Oxford Harlequins eye third spot in National South West
Oxford Harlequins captain Simon Chadbone says he wants to improve on the success of last season in the National League Three South West.
Quins finished last term in third place and currently lie 10th in the table, having won five of their last 12 games.
"We've got the players to do it, we've just got to believe in ourselves," the loose-head prop, 31, told BBC Oxford.
"We want to emulate last season's success and push for third. We just want to try and go on a good run now."
Chadbone's side have lost seven of their opening league matches, and the Quins captain says injuries are to blame for their poor start to the season.
Tight-head prop Peter Boulton and flanker Tim Knapp have both suffered from broken arms, with Knapp not expected to return until the new year and Boulton remaining a long-term doubt.
"We have been struggling with injuries, it has had a big impact on our season and it has put a strain on the squad," Chadbone continued.
"But we are building momentum now, we have got a very strong squad with good young players so we should be able to cope.
"We just need to get some back-to-back wins and grab some bonus points."
