Jeremy Manning
Matchwinner Manning was on as a replacement for Newcastle

Jeremy Manning kicked an injury-time penalty to earn Newcastle victory over Exeter in the Amlin Challenge Cup.

A try from Gcobani Bobo and some excellent kicking by Jimmy Gopperth gave Newcastle a healthy-looking advantage at half-time.

But Exeter roared back to the brink of victory as Phil Dollman and Mark Foster both touched down.

Their hopes were dashed when Junior Poluleuligaga conceded a penalty, allowing Manning to nick the win.
