Guernsey are four points clear of Guildford at the top of the table |
Guernsey's club captain Dave McGall has said the side have the ability to stay top of their league and win promotion this season. Guernsey are currently top of London Two South West, having won eight of their nine matches so far. McGall told BBC Guernsey: "We have a cracking team and the guys are playing some of the best rugby we've ever seen. "If we can be top at Christmas then you've got to consider that we're looking at a serious promotion push." Guernsey's last league outing saw them narrowly overcome fourth-placed London Cornish 16-13. McGall said: "I think maybe last season might have been a season too early to think about promotion. "But now we've got a few extra players and those guys have jus added an extra edge." The Sarnians face second-placed Guilford on 4 December, knowing a win would extend their lead at the top even further.
