Japan celebrate winning the Asian Five Nations and qualifying for the 2011 Rugby World Cup
Japan have booked their place at the 2011 Rugby World Cup with an emphatic 94-5 victory over Hong Kong in the Asian Five Nations. The result ensured Japan won the third staging of the tournament with a 100% record to clinch the continent's only direct qualifying spot. The Brave Blossoms have played in all six previous versions of the World Cup and will host the tournament in 2019. They will compete in Pool A with hosts New Zealand, France, Tonga and Canada. Kazakhstan beat South Korea 32-25 to finish second in the Asian Five Nations and keep alive their hopes of reaching the World Cup finals, which start in September 2011. However they face a tough task if they are to claim the 20th and final place - first they must beat Uruguay in July before facing either Romania, Tunisia or Ukraine in a play-off for a berth in Pool B alongside Argentina, England, Scotland and Georgia.
