Redruth's miserable away form continued as they slumped to a disappointing defeat at Blaydon. Blaydon ran in six tries to claim a bonus point as the Reds struggled to cope in Northumberland. Kerry Wood scored a hat-trick for the home side, with Simon Barber, Adam Armstrong and Andrew Baggett also crossing the line. The Reds' points came courtesy of a try apiece for wing Lewis Vinnicombe and lock Richard Carroll. The result means that Redruth, who have won only once away from home all season, drop to eighth in the National One standings on 42 points. Blaydon move up one position to ninth in the league with 39 points, having played two games fewer than the Reds.
