Launceston travel to Taunton on Friday for their final friendly game before their National Division One campaign gets underway on 5 September. A 27-man-squad will make the journey to Taunton, with director of rugby Jon Hill looking to finalise his team for the league opener against Cinderford. "In certain places we have up to three people vying for one spot," Hill said. "This will be the final opportunity for players to try and force their way into the Cinderford selection discussion." Launceston have won both of their pre-season friendlies so far, beating Barnstaple 48-0 at home and Exmouth 61-20 away. Hill is expected to give a debut to fly-half Mike Provis, who has been playing rugby in Australia over the summer.
