Delaney's side are currently fourth in National One |
Nottingham coach Glenn Delaney has said there is no danger of his side getting ahead of themselves during their quest for EDF Energy National Trophy glory. The Green and Whites have been drawn against National Two team Mounts Bay in the Trophy quarter-finals. But first they must overcome Cornish Pirates in their delayed last-16 tie at Meadow Lane on Sunday. "We are focused 100% on the the Pirates. We will need to be at our best to progress," Delaney said. "I am a big fan of the National Trophy and it is a trophy I believe we have a great chance of winning. "But to win it we must beat the Pirates and that is the only thing the players and I are worried about at the moment." Delaney's side were due to play their fifth-round tie against Cornish Pirates last Sunday (February 8) but that was postponed because of a frozen pitch. And the quarter-final matches are scheduled to take place on Saturday, 28 February.
