Andy Reay opened the scoring in his first game after returning to Moseley |
Moseley are through to the last 16 of the EDF Energy National Trophy after fending off the Henley Hawks 34-6. In the West Midlanders' first competitive game of 2009, Mose were always in control against their lower division opponents. Andy Reay crossed for the opening score at Billesley Common in his first appearance since returning to the club. Full-back Ollie Thomas added a second try before the break, then the hosts crossed four times in the second half. Wingers Nathan Bressington and Dan Norton claimed a try apiece, with forwards Paul Arnold and James Rodwell completing the scoring. Next weekend Moseley return to National League One action when Rotherham visit Billesley. The two teams are locked together in the lower half of the table and victory for either side would be a major step towards securing a place in next season's new 12-team Championship.
