Hill conceded his side were out of the game at Tynedale by half-time |
Launceston joint head coach Jon Hill says first-half errors cost his side any chance of a win at Tynedale in National Two on Saturday. The Cornish All Blacks trailed 29-7 at half-time. They kept their opponents scoreless in the second half, but still ran out 29-17 losers. "We made too many errors in the first half," Hill told BBC Radio Cornwall. "We probably showed them a little bit too much respect and allowed them to dictate the game." Hill added: "We knew we were going to be up against it in the first half playing against quite a strong wind. But ultimately we gave ourselves far too much to do." The defeat leaves Launceston fifth in the table, 18 points behind leaders Redruth with two games in hand.
