Clegg's Otley won promotion back to National League One last season
Otley will be without five first team players for their Boxing Day clash with Leeds Carnegie. (KO 1400 GMT).
Otley have several players on loan from local rivals Leeds, who will not be allowed to play at Cross Green.
Head coach Peter Clegg told BBC Radio Leeds:"Leeds have been very helpful to us this season and quite rightly they didn't want them playing in this one.
"To lose five players causes problems, but we do have a few boys coming back from injury too."
Table topping Leeds have won all 17 games in National League One, while second-bottom Otley have just two wins to their name.
Clegg added: "As a league game it's just as important as any other game we play.
"But as a local derby, on Boxing Day for the club financially it is very important to us.
"We want everyone to come down and enjoy the game and the day, we need as many people through the gates as possible.
"It will be white meat on Christmas day with the Turkey and red meat on Boxing Day as I expect it to be a full blooded encounter."
Otley are keen to stress tickets for the game are still available and fans can pay on the gate.
BBC Radio Leeds will have regular live reports of the game on 103.9 FM.
