Ollie Thomas kept Moseley in the hunt with four penalty goals. |
Moseley were left rueing missed chances after slipping to a 19-12 defeat at home to the Doncaster Knights. The Birmingham-based club are 10th in National League One, but could have moved into the top half but for a late score from scrum-half Jamie Albinson. His try for the Knights broke a 12-12 stalemate, shortly after Moseley opted not to kick for goal when awarded a penalty 40 metres out. Ollie Thomas scored all of Moseley's points with four penalty goals. Next Sunday Ian Smith's side travel to the unbeaten leaders Leeds before visiting fifth-placed Bedford at the end of the month. Centre Henry Trinder may miss the trip to Headingley with an injury that forced him off early on against Doncaster.
