Leeds Carnegie centre Jonny Hepworth is an injury doubt for Sunday's National League One game at the Cornish Pirates.

Hepworth sustained bruising to his ribs in last Sunday's win over Bedford.

"The good thing is that everyone else is fit, so we don't have to risk further injury to him," director of rugby Andy key told BBC Radio Leeds.

"We are not far off having two people in every position, so we have no problems going into this weekend with alternative selections."

Leeds go into one of their toughest away games of the season on the back of testing home matches against promotion rivals Doncaster Knights and Bedford.

"Having to up our level of intensity and performance in the last two matches should stand us in good stead for Sunday's game," Key explained.

"That's exactly what we need, from a point of view of contests at the breakdown and the physical element at the contact area and tackle we've had to raise our game.

"That can win and lose you a game, so we need to be winning those battle against teams like the Pirates."
