Prop Chris Budgen scored his first points since joining in the summer

Exeter Chiefs director of rugby Pete Drewett has praised his prop Chris Budgen after his hat-trick in the 69-0 victory at Otley on Saturday.

Budgen, who joined the Chiefs from Northampton during the summer, got on the scoresheet for the first time as a Chiefs player in the rout.

"I think he had a phenomenal game today," Drewett told BBC Radio Devon.

"We were playing at such speed that he just happened to be in the right place at the right time."

"He put an enormous amount of work in and even at the end he was still making some little breaks and putting in some good passes," Drewett added.
