Keil scored a try to help Sale defeat Clermont in France on Saturday |
Sale lock Kris Ormsby will miss the Heineken Cup match against Munster on Sunday for a "dangerous charge" against Clermont Auvergne's Julien Pierre. He was suspended for one week after an independent disciplinary committee considered his case on Thursday. It ruled his offence was "of the low end in the level of seriousness." Ormsby's team-mate Rudi Keil escaped punishment for a dangerous tackle on Benioit Baby in the same match in which he came on as a replacement. The three-man panel committee decided that while the centre was guilty of foul play, his offence did not warrant a red card. Montpellier's Justin Marshall's was found not guilty of foul play for an alleged dangerous tackle on Bristol wing Tom Arscott during the French side's European Challenge Cup win. The Independent disciplinary committee dismissed Toulouse's Byron Kelleher's citing for allegedly stamping on Bath's fly-half Butch James in Toulouse's 18-16 win after finding the Kiwi not guilty of foul play.
