Albion are hoping to cause an upset and make the National Trophy final |
Neil Starling scored two second-half tries as Northampton booked their place at Twickenham in the EDF Trophy at the expense of Plymouth Albion. Albion made a great start with an early Ed Lewsey try, but three Bruce Reihana penalties gave Saints a half-time lead.
After Starling scored his first try within six minutes of the restart, Brad Davies replied with a penalty, but Reihana's boot restored the advantage.
And Starling's second try a quarter of an hour from time sealed the victory.
Saints will now play Exeter Chiefs, who were 16-8 winners over Nottingham.
