North Walsham's points difference is worse than 12th-placed Havant |
North Walsham Vikings are just one point above the National Three South relegation zone after losing 21-17 to fellow strugglers Clifton. The game started well for the Norfolk side as they scored three tries in the first period of the game and went in at half-time with a 14-point lead.
But Clifton turned the game around in style with three tries of their own, notching up 18 points without reply.
Walsham have four games left to keep their place in the National League.
BBC Radio Norfolk reporter Nick Bowler is concerned for their future in the league.
"They did push towards the end of the game and with the rub of the green could have made a vital breakthrough.
"I think they're going to have to fight hard for survival with only a handful of games left."
Next up for the Vikings is a trip to third placed Canterbury.
