The Cornish Pirates comfortably beat Newbury 28-6 in National League One at Camborne on Sunday. The home side led 13-3 at half-time with Paul Devlin's try converted by Gareth Steenson, who also kicked two penalties before the break.
Further tries from Sam Betty and Jimmy Moore, plus a conversion and a penalty from Steenson, completed the scoring.
However, head coach Jim McKay was not at the game with the club stating that he was off sick.
It's the first match the Pirates have played since owner Dickie Evans and team manager Adrian Turner announced they would both the leave the club at the end of the season.
