"We're pretty happy," Henry said. "We had a really big week on the set piece and we came through well.

"We scrummed the best we have in the tournament. Defensively we were good and offensively we scored six tries.

"We blew a few tries through errors so that was a little disappointing and we will address that."

The near-full-strength All Blacks were never in danger against Frank Hadden's second-string Scottish XV but the tournament favourites were far from their clincial best.

Henry, though, insisted Scotland should take some credit for keeping the scoreline down to 20 points in each half.

"They competed very well and we have not had that this far in the tournament, so that was good for us," said Henry.

"It was highly contested in the tackle area, a very physical game, the most physical we have had and that will be a valuable lesson for us."

New Zealand romped into the quarter-final stages with three bonus-point wins from their three pool matches, with just Saturday's encounter against minnows Romania to come.
