This was England's first game for a while and we can rest assured that they will get better.

England have been struggling to score tries and they will be happy to get three beyond the All Blacks. Andy Robinson can also be fairly positive about the forwards' performance.

I do think that England need to add to their side forwards who can carry the ball and really take on the opposition. Martin Corry did carry the ball a few times but we did not see that from others.

The performances of debutants Anthony Allen and Paul Sackey were also encouraging.

We were worried about Sackey in defence but he was solid. It is really important that England look after Allen and don't make the same mistakes they did with Mathew Tait.

Whether they drop Allen or not depends on injuries as he was only in the side because others weren't available.

As for negatives, well, against New Zealand you really have to sell yourselves.

The pressure from England should have come in hard and quick because if you let them take a yard they take advantage and take more.

New Zealand have an intensity and are aggressive with the ball in hand but they weren't quite there today.

England cut out mistakes, finished off their moves and should be a lot happier about their performance at Twickenham.

When they get everything right, England will be difficult to beat.

Charlie Hodgson had an off day with his kicking but there were still enough positives to take away.

In recent times, England just have not been scoring even when they had three on two or two on one and they did not have that problem against the All Blacks.

The tries were created because they took their opportunities and that is a big bonus.

I don't think England have successfully filled the role left by Will Greenwood at centre.

Allen made a few mistakes but he looked comfortable and the only way he will learn from his mistakes is to keep playing him.

Everyone says New Zealand are clear favourites for the World Cup but on that display I do not think that they are invincible.
