 John Smit has been at the centre of South Africa training | South Africa coach Jake White has made seven changes to his side for Saturday's first Test match against Scotland in Durban. Captain John Smit and veteran Os du Randt return to bolster the front row after the 30-27 win over a World XV. Experienced lock Victor Matfield moves into the second row alongside his provincial team-mate Danie Rossouw. Schalk Burger, Juan Smith, Joe van Niekerk, Fourie du Preez and Breyton Paulse also start. Burger, the IRB player of the year in 2004, is back among the flankers alongside Smith, while van Niekerk is named at number eight. Du Preez wins the nod ahead of Enrico Januarie at scrum-half. Paulse returns to the right wing, meaning Andre Snyman shifts across to the left.
