Winger Lote Tuqiri went over for four tries as Australia beat Italy 69-21 in their one-off Test in Melbourne. Tuqiri, who was banned for the Test against Samoa earlier this month, went over for two tries in each half.
Australia scored seven first-half tries to lead 43-7 at the break but the Italians recovered to go over for three tries after the interval.
Matt Giteau landed six conversions for the Australians, as well as scoring a try and setting up three others.
