Bath's Andrew Higgins and David Barnes have each been banned for a fortnight by separate disciplinary panels. Centre Higgins and prop Barnes will now miss their club's opening Heineken Cup games against Leinster and Bourgoin.
Higgins was dismissed during Bath's 18-16 Premiership win over Gloucester after receiving two yellow cards, the second for tripping Mike Tindall.
Barnes was cited for striking an opponent during Bath's Powergen Cup win over the Ospreys on 9 October.
Both players pleaded guilty, with Higgins appearing before a Rugby Football Union panel and Barnes in front of a joint RFU/Welsh Rugby Union panel.
Barnes and Higgins would have challenged strongly for first-team places in Bath's tough game against Leinster in Dublin next Saturday.
The one crumb of comfort for Bath rugby director John Connolly is that the pair will not miss November's Premiership programme.
Much of it coincides with England's autumn Test programme, with Bath likely to be weakened by losing the likes of Danny Grewcock, Matt Stevens and Lee Mears.
