England scrum-half Matt Dawson insists he is no closer to finalising a move from Northampton to Wasps.
The half-back is in negotiations with London club Wasps but says claims that a deal has already been done are wide of the mark.
"The situation is that the clubs have been talking and are still talking but it's not true to say anything has been finalised," Dawson told BBC Sport.
"A lot of reports claim I have already agreed to move but that is not true."
Dawson, who saw Saints thrashed 57-20 in the Zurich Premiership semi-final on Saturday, is hopeful his future will be confirmed either way by the end of this week.
But the scrum-half scoffed at reports that he is looking to join a club nearer to his London home.
"I have been living in London for two years now and commuting to Northampton during that time. I don't think my form has suffered during that period," he said.
Dawson was talking during a golf day in support of Sport Relief, a charity which the England star is promoting.

And he admitted leaving Northampton would be a difficult decision after spending his entire 13-year career at Franklin's Gardens.
"It would be a big wrench to leave Northampton and the relationship I have with the fans was brought home to me on Saturday," Dawson said.
He added: "All the Saints fans were coming up and telling me that, whatever I decided, they would fully support me and wish me all the best. That was fantastic."
Wasps coach Warren Gatland is keen to sign Dawson, with Rob Howley set to undergo a wrist operation which could sideline him until October.
"Things are moving forward and I would hope that the situation would be sorted one way or the other by the end of this week," Dawson added.
