Jonny Wilkinson has added to his haul of awards by being voted sportsman of the year by British journalists. The England fly-half was honoured for his Rugby World Cup heroics by the Sports Journalists' Association (SJA).
Coach Clive Woodward won an award for 'services to sport' and his side won team of the year.
Wilkinson has already been voted the International Rugby Board's player of the year and is favourite to be BBC Sports Personality of the Year.
Paula Radcliffe retained her SJA sportswoman of the year title after improving her own marathon world record and setting new world bests at 10km and 5km.
Everton's Wayne Rooney was best newcomer, while sprinter Darren Campbell won the UK sport award.
Equestrian star Pippa Funnell was honoured for 'outstanding achievement' and fellow rider Nicola Tustain was disabled sports personality of the year.
