England dominated the International Rugby Board awards on Sunday following their dramatic World Cup final victory the previous day. Jonny Wilkinson, whose extra-time drop goal sank Australia 20-17 on Saturday, was named international player of the year at the awards dinner in Sydney.
Clive Woodward took the coaching honours after guiding England to a Six Nations Grand Slam and the World Cup.
And, unsurprisingly, the England side were named team of the year.
"It's been a year to remember," said Wilkinson, who beat New Zealand's Richie McCaw, France's Imanol Harinordoquy, Australian Phil Waugh and England hooker Steve Thompson to take the player's award.
"We wanted to cap it off like this and thankfully it happened."
Woodward was quick to pay tribute to his players.
"I have a brilliant coaching team but a coach is only as good as his players," he said.
"You have got what you deserve fellas and a big, big well done from me.
"We have always put our full-strength side out and decided if we did that the World Cup would take care of itself one way of the other."
