Roberts was injured in a collision with the goalpost |
Wigan full-back Amos Roberts will be out for approximately eight weeks with a cruciate knee ligament injury. The 29-year-old sustained the injury while scoring his second try in the Warriors' 54-14 rout of Wakefield. He was taken from the field with a suspected broken leg but a scan later revealed ligament damage. "Amos has been doing a great job for us, but we've got some good people who can come into the team," said Warriors head coach Michael Maguire. "I know Amos will work extra hard to get back to full fitness as soon as possible." Wigan have also confirmed that scrum-half Thomas Leuluai picked up a bruised foot in the game. However, centre George Carmont and wing Cameron Phelps could return for the Warriors in this weekend's game at Salford.
