Wigan are fifth in the Super League after defeat by Hull KR |
Coach Brian Noble says former Wigan player Michael Dobson undid his old team in the Warriors' 39-22 defeat by Hull KR. Scrum-half Dobson scored four tries as Rovers came from 16-10 down to win for the first time in seven games. Noble told BBC Radio Manchester: "He's backed himself. He's shown us up a little bit. "We talked about his short-kicking game for himself and the left foot step, but unfortunately we didn't act on it." Noble praised the opposition but was also critical of his own team's performance. He said: "Some of the quality of our skills left a lot to be desired. "It gave Hull KR the field position that made sure Dobson kicked really well and we were dropping out of our sticks more times than we wanted to." Wigan have slipped to fifth in the Super League table after Warrington's win over Bradford Bulls on Friday, although the Warriors do have a game in hand. And Noble admitted his team had not played smart enough to beat the Craven Park side. He said: "They're [the players] extremely disappointed as we all are. I thought they were a bit dumb at times, we played a bit dumb, certainly in the second half when we went ahead."
