Millward's Wigan team has been badly hit by injuries |
Wigan boss Ian Millward insisted he is going nowhere despite the Warriors' poor start to the Super League season continuing on Friday. They lost 40-14 to Wakefield and afterwards Millward was asked if he felt under added pressure after one win in eight games.
"I don't know why you keep asking me that," Millward snapped. "I've got a three-year contract.
"There are a lot of problems here at the club and I'm here to sort it out."
He added: "I'm here for the long haul and until I am told otherwise that will continue. I don't feel under any pressure - I just feel sad for the players.
"If you look at our pack of forwards for the majority of the game - we had Oliver Wilkes, Jordan James, Bryn Hargreaves, Tim Jonkers and Mickey Higham.
"I don't call that an all-international cast, but those are the cards you're dealt and we'll get on with it."
