Carvell has previous played for Leeds, Gateshead and Hull |
Warrington's upturn in fortunes is down to the club's coaching staff, says prop Garreth Carvell. Wolves have won the last two Challenge Cups and currently top Super League. He told BBC Radio Manchester: "Having Smithy [Tony Smith] there telling you what he wants, and what he wants you to do, is a big help. "We've been looking at different options and things to improve everyone's game individually, so it's definitely down to the coaching staff." The 31-year-old England international recently signed a new contract at the Halliwell Jones, tying him to the club until November 2013. Carvell believes he is beginning to perform to his usual standards after an injury-plagued season last year. "I think last season was a bit of a disappointment, as I started well, but broke my leg and came back quite a few weeks to early which didn't help my form," he added. "I'm really enjoying my rugby and it's just one of those things where I think the more you enjoy it, and the more form you get into, I think the easier it becomes and it snowballs a little bit. "I'm quite happy with my form. I don't think I'm setting anything on fire but I think there is more to come. "Hopefully I can keep improving and save it for the finals."
