Higham has played for Great Britain and England

Warrington hooker Mickey Higham will miss the Challenge Cup semi-final with Catalans Dragons next month after breaking his thumb.

The 29-year-old is out for six weeks after suffering the injury in Sunday's 30-10 win over Crusaders and will not be fit in time for the 8 August clash.

"We didn't think it was a serious one, and it could have been worse," said Wolves coach Tony Smith.

"I'm sure he'll return very strong, fit and sprightly."
