Lowes wants his side to improve their ball retention |
Warrington Wolves head coach James Lowes has said he believes there is more to come from his side. The ex-Salford assistant told BBC Radio Merseyside he is pleased with his players' application but there is room for improvement. "They're trying stuff that I'm asking them to do but it just isn't happening. "We're turning the ball over quite cheaply sometimes, it's good to see they're trying, we just need to execute it better." Warrington have won four of their five matches since Lowes took temporary charge of the club following the exit of Paul Cullen. | We can't afford to turn the ball over a lot against them or we will be in for a tough time |
Their latest win was a 60-24 thrashing of Wakefield last Sunday. That match saw Lee Briers make his 300th appearance for the club and Lowes led the tributes to Wolves' long serving half-back. "It's a fantastic achievement in any walk of life, he's playing well at the moment, nice and confident." | 606: DEBATE | Next up for Warrington is a home game against one of Lowes' former clubs Bradford Bulls. "We can't afford to turn the ball over a lot against them or we will be in for a tough time," added Lowes.
