John Kear's Wildcats finished 11th in Super League XV |
Wakefield Trinity Wildcats say there is no danger of the club failing to start the new season with four unnamed potential buyers watching on. The Super League club are facing a winding-up petition but chief executive James Elston says they are talking with the four parties. And head coach John Kear told BBC Leeds: "We're aware that people are interested and that's welcome. "But once you get involved in speculation it becomes a distraction." Kear added: "As a playing and coaching staff we've come together and said it's us against the world. We're happy to put our backs against the wall and to cope with the adversity. We'll get out there and give it our best shot. "What we have to deal with is hard facts and the reality of circumstances and that's what we're dealing with at the minute."
