Gleeson has scored nine tries for the Wildcats this season

Wakefield centre Sean Gleeson will miss the rest of the season after breaking a cheekbone in the Wildcats' 34-20 win over Catalans Dragons on Saturday.

The 21-year-old Ireland international is to undergo surgery.

The former Wigan player signed for Wakefield in 2007 and has appeared in 24 matches for the Wildcats this season, scoring nine tries.

Victory over the Catalans Dragons guaranteed a first home tie for Wakefield in the play-offs.
