Halley scored nine tries for the Bulls last season |
Bradford winger Dave Halley has joined Super League rivals Wakefield on a month's loan. Bulls coach Steve McNamara told the club website: "The deal suits both Dave and Wakefield as well as us at this moment in time. "He needs to be playing at the start of the season and his prospects of starting at Wakefield are very good. The 22-year-old could make his Wakefield debut in Sunday's friendly against Doncaster. The Wildcats have winger Matt Petersen out while former Bulls centre Ryan Atkins dislocated his shoulder in their friendly against St Helens. McNamara added: "I've spoken to Dave regarding his whole pre-season - where he is and where he needs to be. "Wakefield said he will play in all the games for them during the next month and we feel it will benefit everyone." Wakefield open their Super League XIV season at Wigan next week and Halley is also scheduled to tackle champions Leeds Rhinos, Salford City Reds and Warrington Wolves during his time at Belle Vue.
