Tranmere 3-1 Huddersfield

Anthony Kay grabbed a brace as Tranmere boosted their promotion hopes with a comfortable victory over Huddersfield.

The home skipper was left completely unmarked as he headed in a Charlie Barnett corner after only six minutes.

Huddersfield drew level through an Andy Booth header from Michael Collins's cross, but Bas Savage's terrific strike restored the hosts' lead.

And Kay made it 11 for the season with a neat finish from 12 yards after an Andy Taylor free-kick was not cleared.
