 Tadulala was Wakefield's leading try-scorer in 2006 |
Wakefield winger Semi Tadulala has ended his four-year stay at Belle Vue. The 31-year-old, who has missed most of this season with a broken arm, joined the club from Melbourne Storm and scored 35 tries for the club.
"Semi is out of contract at the end of this year and he has advised the club he won't be re-signing," said Wildcats chief executive Steve Ferres.
"I hope his injury clears and he can enjoy his career by moving forward - I respect Semi's decision."
Tadulala had hoped to join rugby union side Gloucester in 2006 with the hope of playing for his native Fiji at the 15-man game's forthcoming World Cup.
But he was unable to secure a work permit to play union and returned to Wakefield for Super League XII.
"I'd like to wish Semi every success in the future - he's a genuinely nice fellow and a good rugby league player," added Ferres.
"He's been with the club many years and we understand he wants a change in direction."
Tadulala broke his arm against Leeds in March and was expected to return to action in June, but a scan showed the break had not healed properly and required more surgery.
