 | Wakefield's Semi Tadulala on Saturday's match against Castleford |
Semi Tadulala says Wakefield are not getting carried away after their win against Bradford gave them the chance to keep themselves in Super League. The Wildcats surprised the defending champions to set up a decider against Castleford on Saturday, the winners of which will stay in the top flight.
"It's like a game and it's half-time. The second half is next week and that's why we're not celebrating," he said.
"It's as good as a Grand Final because it's do-or-die."
Wakefield had to beat Bradford on Friday to have any chance of preserving their Super League status, and Tadulala was among the tryscorers in a famous 20-12 win.
At the same time, Castleford were losing to Salford and setting up Saturday's huge match.
"It's the first time I've been involved in anything like this," said Tadulala. "All the pressure was on us.
"We stood up to the challenge and I'm just glad it's over, except it's not over because the main one is next week.
"We spoke about it straight after the game when we went into a huddle.
"We didn't know the Castleford score until we went up to our supporters at the end of the match and looked up at the big screen.

"Now a little bit of pressure is taken off us for the time being and it's all on next week. It should be a big one."
Tadulala also paid tribute to the contribution of head coach John Kear, who took over with Wakefield almost dead and buried at the foot of the table.
The Wildcats have won three of their five matches since Kear took over.
"He has made a really big difference," said Tadulala. "It was a big job for him to come in and take over after Tony Smith left.
"He didn't want to change too much. The main thing he concentrated on was defence and that's what we've been working on.
"He felt we had enough strike power in our team but you can't win a game without defence."
