Saints on top in testimonial tie
Sculthorpe holds aloft the Challenge Cup after St Helens beat Huddersfield in the 2006 final
Sculthorpe last played in June
St Helens ran out 38-22 winners against Wakefield in Paul Sculthorpe's testimonial game at Knowsley Road.

The home side, who fielded two teams against their Super League rivals, scored seven tries to Wakefield's four, delighting coach Daniel Anderson.

"I thought the game gave plenty of positive indications," he said. "It was a good hit out for the team and I thought we showed some great touches."

Sculthorpe missed the match because he is not yet fully fit.

The 30-year-old former Great Britain skipper has been out of the game since damaging an Achilles in June.

Ade Gilmour, Chris Flannery, Ste Tyrer, Nick Fozzard, Matty Smith, Paul Clough and Jamie Foster all went over for Saints.

Wakefield's tries came from Dale Ferguson, Sam Obst, Luke George and Oliver Wilkes.
