St Helens star Darren Albert has been labelled "one of the best wingers in the world" by team-mate Jamie Lyon. Albert, 29, is the only player to have scored in all six rounds of Super League X, scoring twice in Saints' 64-16 win over Wakefield on Saturday.
Australian Test centre Lyon said of his compatriot: "I think he's the best winger I've played with or against.
"With a quality player like him outside you, you feel really comfortable. I can't give him enough praise."
Lyon should recognise a good winger when he sees one, having partnered Lote Tuqiri and Nathan Blacklock in the 2001 Ashes Series.
But the former Parramatta player is just as delighted with St Helens' defence as he is with the attack.
"When your defence is right, you can score points and we got more pleasure from the defence than from the tries," he said.
