New St Helens signing Ricky Bibey has been ruled out for six weeks after injuring ankle ligaments in training. The prop, 22, impressed in pre-season games but will now have to wait until April to make his competitive debut.
"It's very unfortunate because up to the Hull game he was one of our best forwards," said coach Ian Millward.
The news will also be a setback for Wigan, who sold him to their rivals and are due a second payment when he clocks up 15 senior appearances.
