 Saints thought Bibey was a free agent |
St Helens have been told to pay �20,000 for Wigan's Ricky Bibey. That fee could rise to �50,000, if Bibey makes more than 30 appearances for his new club and is called up by Great Britain.
Saints signed the prop forward thinking he was a free agent but Wigan demanded a fee, and the case was decided at a transfer tribunal.
"The decision has been made and we have to abide by it," said Saints chairman Eamonn McManus.
