Rob Parker has scored just one try in 23 Super League games for Salford

Salford forward Rob Parker is facing a length lay-off after it was confirmed that he broke a hand in Saturday night's 27-20 home win over Hull FC.

The 28-year-old former Bradford and Warrington prop has been referred to a specialist on Tuesday.

And that suggests Parker may now have to undergo surgery.

Reds' club captain Parker missed the last three months of last season with a fractured skull, but has started all eight matches so far this year.
