Paul will join Leeds Carnegie at the end of the current Super League season |
Harlequins loose-forward Henry Paul has said the club's lack of squad depth is to blame for inconsistent results. The 34-year-old has seen his side struggle to fill the void left when a first-team squad member is unavailable.
"Our 13 best players are a threat to any team but last year and this year we've struggled to get that 13 on the paddock," he told BBC London 94.9. "You've really got to bring on your whole squad and that's the difficulty we've had here." He added: "It's been a bit of a shame because when we've had our best team out we've beaten the likes of Leeds and St Helens. "It's just the consistency we haven't had because we've never had a consistent team." Harlequins lie in ninth place in the Super League and play sixth-place Bradford on Sunday.
