Leeds Rhinos captain Kevin Sinfield signs new deal
Sinfield is closing in on the club's all time points scoring record
Leeds Rhinos captain Kevin Sinfield has signed a new four-year deal keeping him at the club until 2014.
The contract means the 30-year-old Great Britain international will spend his entire career at Headingley.
Sinfield told BBC Radio Leeds: "The club has always been loyal to guys that have come through the system and it's really nice to be rewarded.
"I never wanted to go anywhere else, and I feel lucky I've been able to play my whole career here."
Sinfield continued: "The club is as good as it gets. People make a club, and the people and environment at this place is fantastic and you don't want to go anywhere else.
"The friends I've got here, the culture that's been created, the success we've had and the way people want to take this club forward and continue to challenge for silverware is something I really want to be a part of."
As he begins his 15th season at Headingley, Sinfield is already assured of his place in Rhinos history.
He has led them to four Championships and has captained them in 12 finals, including four Grand Finals and two World Club Challenge victories.
Sinfield insisted a financial incentive was not a factor in his decision to sign a new contract.
"I've been really lucky at this place because they've looked after me so well," he said.
"Money's not everything and for me, being happy and enjoying what you do far outweighs any of that.
"I'm not saying we don't do well out of the game, because we do, but there are some things that are more important to me and some of the other guys here as well."
Having now committed his future to the club, Sinfield has set his sights on bringing more silverware back to Headingley after a trophy-less 2010.

"You've only got to walk into the place to see some of the success we've had and what it's done to people in terms of them wanting more of it and how they want to improve every year and every week.
"We had a frustrating campaign last year - we weren't that far away in the end, but we probably ran at about 60% of our potential.
"If we can get back to running at 90 - 100% of our potential then we'll certainly be challenging this year."
