Hall ran in 23 Super League tries for Leeds Rhinos last season |
Leeds and England winger Ryan Hall has shaken off the leg injury that threatened to rule him out for the start of the new Super League season. Hall, 23, took a knock in last Sunday's trial game at Featherstone, but has been named in the squad for Friday's friendly with Crusaders. "Ryan has been improving every day," said head coach Brian McDermott. "The medical staff will have the final say but we are happy to include him with the progress he has made so far." The Rhinos' top try scorer last season, Hall returned to pre-season training early in a bid to find full fitness after missing the first two Tests of the Four Nations with a hamstring problem. His recovery will come as a relief to McDermott, who will be without Jamie Peacock and Danny McGuire for the first three months of the season. The Rhinos begin their quest to regain the Super League title against Bradford Bulls at the Millenium Magic weekend on 13 February.
