Delaney made 63 appearances for the Titans before his move to Rhinos
Leeds Rhinos new signing Brett Delaney has got a few points to prove after his move to England to join the Super League champions.
The 24-year-old centre has joined his new team-mates for pre-season training and will make his debut on Boxing Day against Wakefield Trinity Wildcats.
Delaney told BBC Radio Leeds "I've now got to prove to my team-mates that i'm worthy of a place in a winning side."
"The club has a winning culture and I don't want to let anyone down" he said.
Delaney arrives at Headingley from Gold Coast Titans to start a three-year contract as a direct replacement for outgoing centre Lee Smith who switched codes to join London Wasps.
Rhinos fans will get their first sight of the new signing in action when Leeds take on Wakefield in the traditional Cravendale Challenge match at Headingley on Boxing Day, a match Delaney knew little about before his move.
"I hadn't heard about the game until Bluey [coach Brian McClennan] told me. I'm usually celebrating having a few beers but it's something different and I can't wait to to get a Rhinos jersey on and play on Boxing Day."
Delaney is one of two new signings for the Rhinos in 2010 with New Zealand international Greg Eastwood finally at the club after a long delay regarding his visa which saw him play last season for Canterbury Bulldogs.
