Leeds Rhinos coach Brian McClennan believes the 2007 drama at the Millennium Stadium will have no impact on Saturday's derby with Bradford. Last year, Rhinos recorded a 42-38 win over Bulls thanks to a last-minute try in a controversial match. "The past is the past, that was then and this is now. We know we have to be good on Saturday night," McClennan told BBC Radio Leeds. "For the players and staff, we are just focused on this game." The Bulls-Rhinos encounter will bring to an end Saturday's leg of Millennium Magic, with Huddersfield Giants clashing with Warrington Wolves at 1500 BST and Castleford Tigers meeting Wakefield Trinity Wildcats at 1700 BST. The World Club Champions have already recorded one victory over their fierce West Yorkshire rivals in Super League XIII, running out 44-2 winners at Headingley in March. | It's a new ball game, you can't be clinging on to what you did before Leeds coach Brian McClennan |
"We know the Bulls will be much stronger this time. We haven't talked about that game, we've moved on and so have Bradford," stated McClennan. "It's a new ball game, you can't be clinging on to what you did before, it's about looking at the present and that will be Saturday night." BBC Radio Leeds will bring you all three Millennium Magic matches involving Super League's West Yorkshire clubs on Saturday, starting from 1400 BST.
