McGuire scored the match-winning try in last year's Grand Final |
Leeds have decided against bringing Danny McGuire back to action against Bradford on Thursday. McGuire has made rapid progress after undergoing surgery on a troublesome groin injury, and had been included in the Leeds' initial 20-man squad.
But Leeds coach Tony Smith has decided not to risk the prolific try-scorer, although he did suggest McGuire could return against Wakefield on Monday.
McGuire originally picked up the injury during last year's Tri-Nations series.
The 22-year-old, who scored 39 tries last season, is rated as one of the brightest young talents in the British game.
But Leeds have shrugged off his absence, making a blistering start to the season with six wins out of six in Super League X.
