Diskin has been out since the end of last year |
Leeds hooker Matt Diskin hopes to return to the first team next month after recovering from a knee injury. Diskin, who ruptured ligaments on his Great Britain debut against New Zealand last year, played an hour of an Academy game against Keighley on Thursday.
"I was blowing a bit at the end but that's to be expected. It was just great to get back out there and play, especially at Headingley," he said.
"I need a couple of games in the senior academy to get my match fitness back."
Diskin was Leeds' player of the season as the Rhinos won Super League last season.
Andrew Dunemann has been filling in for Diskin in the number nine shirt.
