Walker is set to miss the game against his former club Leeds on Friday |
Hull KR will appeal against the one-match ban imposed on Chev Walker after he was found guilty of a striking charge by the Rugby Football League. Walker was cited following a hit on Bradford's Glenn Morrison and Robins coach Justin Morgan feels aggrieved. He told BBC Radio Humberside: "I didn't think he had a case to answer. "We will be appealing and hopefully get the ban downgraded to a B grade and lifted because I think the ban is too steep for the offence." Walker will miss the home game against former club Leeds Rhinos if the Red & Whites fail but Morgan says he feels the penalty imposed is unjust. He said: "It was a nothing play really. He hit Glenn Morrison in the chest with his forearm and effectively it was a fend and Morrison went down injured. "You see dozens of these exact incidents where the players don't lay themselves sprawled out on the floor. "I'm very disappointed because it was just a mistimed tackle from Glenn Morrison and he just happened to cop a fend in the chest and we all know how big Chev is and when he fends anyone they generally stayed fended."
